School is really overwhelming and I needed a break this week, so I decided to give myself Monday off and just work on my afghan. I made a lot of progress and I'm loving it!
I Learned to Crochet!
So, last night I learned to crochet! I've been wanting to learn for a while, but it wasn't until I saw this great afghan that Tasha was working on that I got really interested. I usually prefer how knit stitches look, but this blanket is just too cute.
First, I learned the single crochet stitch, and then moved on to the double. I practiced each of these for several rows until I was comfortable with the movements and then it was on to the real deal: the granny square!
Unlike knitting, this blanket won't be made in traditional rows—it begins in the center with a granny square and expands outward. I'll be sure to post my progress as I go!

Movie 19: No Strings Attached
No Strings Attached wasn't the greatest, but we wanted to see something "fluff" and it looked better than a few of the other options. I really like Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher, if it weren't for them this would have been a lot worse! Eh, ya win some ya lose some.
